The retreat

Embark on a journey where the sun energizes, recharges, and ignites, while the moon guides you to release, restore, and renew. Balance and transformation are at the heart of this retreat, where equal effort meets equal surrender, creating harmony within your mind, body, and spirit.

Join Ozzie Aziz from The Wellness of Oz Retreats and Joe Love from yogaLOVE as they invite you to Fiji Islands—a place where the ocean and nature’s energy surrounds you.

Ozzie and Joe have shared their passion for wellness together for over a decade, and for the past seven years, they have guided countless souls through transformative retreats. Now, they bring their wisdom and experience to Fiji’s  northern island of Vanua Levu – the hidden Paradise of Fiji.

Yoga practice

Over seven days and six nights, we’ll immerse in yogic practices, Fijian culture, and connection to nature. We’ll tap into the inherent state of calm that lies beneath the layers of overwhelm and busyness we’re so used to feeling in modern-day life. On retreat, we hold space for you to show up exactly as you are. For a week, you’ll know what it’s like to unwind, rest and experience inner peace. There’s nowhere else to be, nothing else to do. Your every need is catered for. All you have to do is say YES.

Meredith will lead you through twice daily yoga classes in our group’s private outdoor (covered) yoga shala. Enjoy revitalising Slow Flow yoga every morning (all levels) and relaxing classes such as Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga and Soundbath healing in the evening. We’ll also experience the bliss of meditation on the beach.

Travel

If you’re traveling from the US, here is some info on the route.

In a nutshell, leave LA late on Thursday night, arrive in Savusavu on Saturday. To return, leave Savusavu on Sunday, get to Nadi for the evening flight to LA, and arrive in LA at lunchtime the same day. Magic!

The flight time to Nadi International Airport is approx. 10 ½ hours – and in case you’re wondering, the flight crosses the International Date Line, so you “lose” a day – if you depart on a Thursday, instead of arriving on a Friday you arrive on a Saturday. You get it back on the return flight – this leaves Fiji late at night and gets back to LA at around lunch time the same day – a bit mind boggling!

Here’s how it works:

You will fly with Fiji Airways (who code share with American Airlines and Air New Zealand, meaning they offer flights under their own code but may be operated by partner airlines). You can book online at https://www.fijiairways.com.
Book to SAVUSAVU (NOT Suva which is easily confused but is on another island).
Flights from LAX depart late at night (departure times vary around 10 – 11.50 pm).
You arrive in Fiji early in the morning, and connect with the domestic flight to Savusavu which takes approx. 55 minutes. The times below are fairly standard but they may change a bit. Here’s what it might look like:
OUT:
Depart LAX Thursday May 21 at 10.30pm; arrive Nadi Saturday May 23 5.30am
Depart Nadi Saturday May 23 either at 7.30am or 12.10 am; arrive Savusavu either at 8.20 am or 1.05 pm
RETURN:
Depart Savusavu Sunday May 30 at 9.15am or 3.15 pm; arrive Nadi 10.10am or 4.10pm.
Depart Nadi Sunday May 30 at 9.40pm; arr LAX 12.55pm
