Painting week
Wyn is know for her use of marks and glazing techniques which form a layering of ‘memories’ across her Work – be it watercolour, oils or acrylic. We won’t use all of these in Fiji but we’ll focus on watercolour, inks and found objects we pick up on the beach or in the gardens of Daku Resort.
Our mornings will begin in a beautiful studio space, with relaxed sessions designed to spark ideas and build confidence. We’ll also do plein air work at specially chosen locations around Savusavu.
This workshop is open to all levels—from complete beginners to experienced artists. Wyn encourages you yo develop your own style and interpretation – she’ll offer ideas, comments and guidance but the final decision is yours.

Teacher Wyn Vogel
For Wyn her Studio practice is an exciting challenge juggling her professional and creative life – managing studios alongside of her desk and computer – with studios in recent years in Victoria and Queensland, Wyn loves to explore the essence of her world – the colours, shapes and light that evolve around her.
Wyn’s large format works vary from drawn work to oil and acrylic glazing – to smaller watercolour, pastel and mixed media work on paper, canvas and many hard surface substrates to ‘Built Installations’ – both public and private.
Subject and genre vary from visual art to literature and video production – creating a many layered worlds. Studio@Vantage – was Wyn’s workshop on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland and has been home to her spray booth – water colour tables and large format easel, providing her with the capability to work on many subjects and interact with other artists depending on the project at hand.
Wyn looks to apply her professional and artistic experience to create new & innovative opportunities for Australian Artists. The most recent – the creation of the Australian Watercolour Muster commenced in 2019 and now a vibrant Australian based Arts Festival – including a ‘Remote and Rural’ Painting Program – taking Painting trips to the remote Kimberley Western Australia and a Biennale of Art every 2nd year – with 2027 being our next Festival, in Adelaide South Australia.
Since 2018, to present – Wyn has been the invited Leader of The Australian Watercolour Delegation to FabrianoInAcquarello – Italy, with her watercolour work showcased as part of the juried Finalists selected to showcase their work in Italy each year, with Artists from over 90 Countries.
