Hatha Vinyasa yoga

Yoga has been a solid and empowering foundation upon which to build and grow her life and her relationships.This deeply personal yoga journey drives Vivienne’s unique, all-embracing teaching style and her mission for making yoga accessible to as many people as possible. She has an acute awareness of the unique needs of every student in her class, and a rare and intuitive teaching approach which underlies her ability to effectively adapt and modify asanas (yoga poses) for individuals of varying yoga experience. No matter what the style of yoga being taught or the fitness level of the student, Vivienne insists on ensuring that each and every class is an amazing experience for each of her students. She will meet you where you’re at, guide you to ‘play your edge’ and stretch to grow your own potential and the sense of self-empowerment which comes with that. Watching her students ‘grow’ through their practice of yoga is her joy and reward as a teacher.

Vivienne completed a two year teacher training course at YogaWest with her first teacher Janet Catesby. Since graduating, Vivienne has explored many different styles of yoga over the past 10 years, including Ashtanga, Power, Iyengar and Anusara yoga. These styles have all contributed to her repertoire as a teacher. Vivienne has an ongoing thirst for expanding her knowledge and understanding of yoga and considers herself as primarily a student of this amazing practice. Her professional development as a teacher of yoga is ongoing as she continues to study with highly respected from across the world. Vivienne honours all her teachers past and present as they have each played an integral role not only in her yoga but in her life more broadly.

Daily Programme

The programme is structured around morning workshops with afternoons for activities and free time to enjoy a massage, snorkelling, or relaxing by the pool.

Note: the order of workshops may vary depending upon weather conditions.The listed activities are part of the course and are covered by your fees. If you want to add on extra excursions, eg. diving, you are welcome to do so and they will be added to your bill.

Arrive in Nadi and take connecting domestic flight to Savusavu. Transfer to Daku Resort.

Morning: Trip to Savusavu Town to see local market and shops. We put you in cabs to get into town and then leave you to wander around at your own pace, and let you to take a cab (Aus$3) or walk back when you’ve had enough.

Morning: Visit to waterfall – we drive about 30 minutes round the bay to a beautiful waterfall where you can swimming a fresh water pool beneath the cascade. Bring along shoes that you can wear in the water and be ready to enjoy the exhilarating beauty of nature. We’ll get back to Daku in time for a late lunch.

Devodara Beach Yoga in Fiji

Wednesday

7.00 – 8.30am Morning practice.
9.00am  Buffet breakfast
11.30am Picnic lunch at a nearby beach. We’ll either drive or take a boat to a nearby sandy beach at Devodara, where we’ll have a picnic and swim in the warm waters of the ocean. We’ll get back to Daku around 3.00pm
4.30 – 6.00pm Afternoon practice.
6.30 Happy hour (relax, swim, free time or drinks)
7.00 Dinner

7.00 – 8.30am Morning  practice.
9.00am  Buffet breakfast
Free morning: Time to explore on your own: we can help you fix up SCUBA diving, a snorkel trip, a hike, a visit to the Flora Botanica tropical gardens…or just spend the time quietly enjoying the peace and tranquility. Lunch will be served as normal at 1.00pm – although you might choose to go and eat in town.
