Gabrielle Boswell 7_rWhether you are looking to deepen or begin your yoga practice, contemplate where you want to go with your life, explore ways to de-stress or simply take some well earned time out, this retreat is the ideal answer. Explore the balance between ease and effort through gentle asana practice, guided relaxation and meditation with an emphasis on creativity and ease of flow between postures –  a moving meditation.

Yoga is a practice of awareness: body, breath and mind – the vehicles through which one finds harmony and connection with spirit. This retreat is paced to offer a gentle, meditative practice that allows you the opportunity to sink deeper into the asanas and gain a thorough awareness of your body’s needs.

Gabrielle has been teaching yoga since 2002 and is co-owner of Bhava Yoga & Dance Centre in Warrandyte, Australia. She is passionate about sharing the joy and benefits of yoga with others. Gabrielle has completed a Graduate Certification in Yoga Therapy and is a Level I iRest Yoga Nidra teacher, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to all her teachings. She has written and produced a guided relaxation and meditation CD, ‘Where blue meets blue’.

A Typical Retreat Day 

Asana Practice 7:30-9:00 am – Our daily practice of breathing, physical postures and relaxation begins in the yoga space each morning.  The level of the class is gentle to intermediate; it will be adjusted to the abilities of the participants with the aim of the morning being to deepen your practice.

Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation): 11:30 am – 12 noon

Relaxation Free Time 12 noon – 4:30 pm – Finding relaxation in our every day lives is often challenging.  Four hours of “me time”  is scheduled during the retreat with time for spa treatments, swimming or time just to be. This is your chance to harmonize with the natural environment and take time for your own exploration and rejuvenation.

Moving Inward 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm – Our afternoon practice will be a combination of meditation, chanting and restorative yoga.  We will explore techniques to combat stress and anxiety, so you feel empowered to incorporate these tools as needed into your day. This week long retreat provides an opportunity to move more deeply into your own awareness and growth.

  • Return airport transfers from Savusavu to Daku Resort.
  • 7 nights accommodation at Daku Resort in traditional bures with private facilities.

Program Excludes

  • Travel.
  • Comprehensive Travel Insurance.
  • Optional activities not listed on the program
  • Costs of a personal nature eg laundry, massages, private trips
  • Meals taken in transit at the airport

The listed activities are part of the course and are covered by your fees. You will also receive a free half hour massage. If you want to add on extra excursions eg diving / special snorkelling trips, we are delighted to help arrange them: they will be added to your room bill.

Back into the real world last week had Maddy and I chasing our tails getting on top of the workload from a couple of weeks off.  This took us far away from the bliss and relaxation of the retreat! Once again thanks for putting everything together we really loved our time at the retreat – it really was a time for us to chill out and focus.  A perfect way to end a honeymoon – albeit one that most of our friends thought was a little out there and crazy!  Nevertheless we couldn’t have thought of a better way to spend it. ~ Sam & Maddy
