Through a combination of Yoga Asana, Pranayama, and Meditation her retreat will give students the opportunity to experience balance, harmony, and mental stillness and create lasting connection with that true Self.
Meera teaches a flowing dynamic Asana practice with influences from her Iyengar, Ashtanga and Yoga Synergy training. A typical practice might include a flowing sequence of standing poses, forward bends, twists, back bending and perhaps some inverted poses, followed by Pranayama, sitting and relaxation. Attention is given to working safely for areas prone to injury such as back, neck and knees. There is a strong focus on conscious breathing throughout, so that it is like a moving meditation with the goal of connecting body, mind and breath, and feeling energised, clear and relaxed as a result.
