Course description

Pacific Yogaflow is a unique blend of yoga flow with a touch of pilates, delivering strength, tone, flexibility and absolute relaxation. The body becomes strong, lengthened and aligned, the mind and body free of tension, and as the day’s stress is left behind, we exist only in the bliss of now.

I’ve been one week in Daku resort for a yoga retreat, I spent one of my best holidays ever !
The staff is fabolous, always looking after your needs, its a friendly and warm atmosphere, they make you feel at home in family 🙂
The location is just amazing front of the sea, the ideal place to have a beautiful rest and yoga classes. Everything you need to enjoy fiji and its culture. Amazing excursion and especially snorkelling and village trip.
The owner JJ and Delia are lovely soul poeple, always smiling and wrilling to have discussion , lunch or dinner with you.
I’ll never forget those holidays and cant forward to come back there! Thanks for all.

Teacher: Deidre-Lee Allen

Deidre – Lee Allen is a vivacious and outgoing teacher whose innovative practice and boundless energy led her to develop her own Pacific Yogaflow yoga business.

She has been to Daku Resort to teach four times before; this will be her fifth retreat.

With a background in dance and choreography, she began her career in health and fitness as an aerobics instructor becoming the National Choreographer and Co-ordinator of the Les Mills Step program. It was Deidre-Lee who first put together the Bodystep program which is now taught all around the world. She then developed her own Pacific Yogaflow program in her beautiful studio in Plimmerton, New Zealand with over 200 people in her classes each week.

She set up the very first personal training system for Les Mills – again, a first, and one that led to hundreds of trainers all over the world working under the Les Mills personal training systems.

Deidre-Lee subsequently went on to train as a Natural Therapist through the Naturapathic College of NZ. She has combined her knowledge with Natural Therapies with her creative passion to bring you the gift of Pacific Yogaflow. Now living in the beautiful coastal village of Plimmerton with her two children James and Jasmine she has found a greater sense of balance in her life. To her the sea is energizing and her community inspirational – everyday she is thankful that she can bring the wonderful gift of Pacific Yogaflow to her clients with creativity and passion.

The retreat was fantastic, very balanced with just the correct amount of Yoga, other activities, rest & relaxation. I’ve recommended it many times since returning! Deidree Lee was a treasure – very friendly and more than willing to work with everyone and we had a great time laughing and getting to know each other. All the staff were wonderful and I won’t name individuals but some went the extra yards to ensure our stay was fantastic.
The food was great, breakfasts sometimes a bit hit and miss but if you asked for something in particular it usually turned up the next day, like yogurt. The dinners were always great and we loved how we shared the dinner with whatever guests were staying at Daku at the time. Made for some interesting dinner companions. I will be back again some time hopefully for another yoga retreat or just to visit and hope that I can join in with whatever may be on at the time.

Daily Programme

The programme is structured around morning workshops with afternoons for activities and free time to enjoy a massage, snorkelling, relaxing by the pool or continuing to paint.

Note: the order of workshops may vary depending upon weather conditions.The listed activities are part of the course and are covered by your fees. If you want to add on extra excursions, eg. diving, you are welcome to do so and they will be added to your bill.

SUNRISE SESSION – JUST BREATH
Open your heart and awaken the flow of energy within your body in this moving and meditative Pacific Yogaflow sunrise session. Deidre-Lee will lead you to integrate your breath with your movements bringing awareness into your body and mind to fully strengthen and rejuvenate every aspect of your well-being.

7.30am-9.00am SUNRISE SESSION – BE IN THE MOMENT
Start where you are right now, be right here is the moment and allow yourself to unfold ~ this session teaches you to honour yourself, learn to become more centred, strong and ready to explore your potential within each of the Pacific Yogaflow postures and poses.

Free morning to visit Savusavu town, go snorkelling, relax.
12.00 Picnic lunch at Devodara beach.
4.00pm – 5.30 pm AFTERNOON SESSION – RELAX, RELEASE AND RESTORE Stretch out and surrender as you allow yourself to just be and as you breathe and release experience deeper stretching and a greater ability to truly relax.

Tuesday

7.30am-9.00am SUNRISE SESSION – POSTURAL AWARENESS AND CORE STRENGTH
Learn to achieve great postural awareness and alignment. Then build upon this inner strength from the centre of your body. Activate your core muscles; abdominals, back and pelvic floor muscles, to give support to your structure and tone your body.
9.00 Breakfast
10.00 Excursion to Vuadomo waterfall. Make sure you have a pair of shoes you can walk in – trainers / joggers / Merrills / Tevos – NOT flip flops.
Return for a late lunch.
4.00pm – 5.30 pm AFTERNOON SESSION – RELAX, RELEASE AND RESTORE Strengthen and tone your body ~ then lengthen and stretch out your muscles finishing this session in meditation.

Wednesday

7.30 – 9.00: Breakfast.
Free morning: arrange whatever private trips you wish (these are not included in the price).

-visit the Flora Tropica Gardens with their marvellous collection of palm trees from around the world

Thursday

7.30am-9.00am SUNRISE SESSION – PACIFIC YOGAFLOW TOTAL MIND BODY CONNECTION Bringing together all the elements of Pacific Yogaflow – the breath, awareness, movement, strength, flexibility and total relaxation. Enjoy just letting yourself go within the session to leave your mat with an amazing sense of strength and absolute relaxation.
