Drawing and sketching

“My passion for art is closely aligned with my love of the ocean and its relationship to man. Being close to the ocean provides endless inspiration and ideas, as well as offering a special place for focus.”
Lizzie Connor

Creating a drawn or painted image is different for each of us, as we all see and work differently, with different vision – it can be slow or fast; detailed or impressionistic; focusing on small objects or wide landscapes.

This week will be about opening your mind and refining your techniques to embrace the many aspects of drawing, and learning about additional methods and drawing tools to bring to your toolkit of drawing.

If you want to capture memories of a great trip, or give expression to a mood in a cafe, or preserve the face of a friend you value, turn your skills and attention to the rich possibilities of drawing.

There’s a detailed day-by-day description of this wonderful creative week – including the materials you’ll be learning to use – further down this page.
