Each day starts with a yoga practice followed by breakfast. Then in the rest of the morning we have a mixture of excursions and free time. The excursions are all included in the price – of course they are optional but they are tremendous fun and you will gain a fabulous insight into local Fijian life.

In the late afternoon there’s another yoga practice which will focus on meditation and relaxation. We will then gather for drinks and dinner and tales of the day’s experiences.

A number of people will be coming as part of Linda’s group from Brisbane. The cost of the week is based on arriving in Nadi on Friday Oct 13 and spending the night in Nadi  – the price of the hotel (shared room) is included. If you need a single room there will be an Aus$60 supplement. The reason for this is that flights from Brisbane arrive mid-afternoon and miss the connecting domestic flight to Savusavu.

  • 7 nights accommodation at Daku Resort in traditional bures with private facilities and one night’s accommodation in Nadi.

Teacher: Linda Barry

Linda has been teaching yoga for over 20 years and has her own studio at Hope Island in Queensland, Australia. Her classes are infused with joy – yoga, she believes, should be married to life and laughter and she encourages a lightness of spirit in her students. She brings a flexibility of body and mind to her yoga, which allows her to progress seamlessly from backbends to cappuccino.

Married with kids and grandchildren, she is a whizz at Stand-up paddle boarding, and is nurturing a troop of little Barryettes in this lovely recreation.

Her guiding principle is to match your practice to your needs – yoga should nurture your body and spirit.

Daily Programme

The programme is structured around a morning practice with afternoons for activities and free time to enjoy a massage, snorkelling, or relaxing by the pool before returning to the Shala for restorative afternoon practice and a stunning Savusavu sunset.

Note: the order of workshops may vary depending upon weather conditions.The listed activities are part of the course and are covered by your fees. If you want to add on extra excursions, eg. diving, you are welcome to do so and they will be added to your bill.
