A Journey Inwards: Yoga and Reiki with Belinda Moore May 19 – 26

This retreat is about remembering what makes you happy, why you react in certain ways and why the same things keep happening that prevent you moving forward.

Yoga works on the physical, emotional and mental aspects of yourself, but also has a deep effect on spiritual health. With this in mind Belinda likes to incorporate the metaphysical aspects into her yoga classes. This translates into a focused awareness of the body’s messages: when holding a specific asana you are invited to look deeper within and acknowledge thoughts or feelings that may arise when you’re in that particular pose. Take the hips as an example. They are known as our ‘saddlebags’ where we tend to store that stuff we don’t want to deal with, or perhaps don’t have time to deal with. So when practicing hip openers we frequently feel tightness in the hips, and in specific hip openers we observe what the body has to tell us about the self, aiding this release.

If we can recognise how the metaphysical self is affected and release that energy then we can help the body to avoid sickness, dis-ease and random aches and pains – and we will expand more into our physical asanas.

Belinda’s practice has a strong base in healing, and during the week she will cover an introduction to Reiki and offer each student a 20 minute healing session. Reiki is a spiritual practice channels qi – universal energy – through the palm of the hands, allowing self-healing and leading to a state of inner balance.

In this retreat Belinda will encourage and challenge you to look deeper… to feel, to listen to expand and guide you through the journey within, then empower you with the tools required to send the energy into past and future to help lighten your journey.

This retreat is open for beginners to intermediate students or anyone wanting to explore their inner self further.

Teacher: Belinda Moore is a qualified yoga therapist with 3 levels of certification in yoga, healing and meditation she has been practising yoga for over 10 years & teaching around the Northern end of the Gold Coast at various venues and retreats. Her classes are suitable for beginners to intermediates with options always offered to suit all needs.

Yoga to Belinda is not only a physical practice but also a journey inwards which has helped to enhance her spiritual awareness. Belinda runs yoga and healing workshops to help people learn more about themselves: she believes that “when we truly understand ourselves (our true self), then and only then can we can start to understand others”.

Belinda‘s background is Hatha yoga but she has also practiced Ashtanga and Iyengar Yoga. Her passion is teaching private lessons and retreats to help people achieve personal & physical goals; releasing fears through personally tailoring lessons & healing to help people move forward in life; letting go of physical, mental & emotional limitations.

Belinda is constantly updating her skills with world renowned teachers Twee Merrigan, Shiva Rea (Prana Flow), John Friend (Anusara yoga) & various specialist yoga/ healing teachers to offer her students the best techniques and options available.

Cost

Prices quoted are per person twin share with private facilities at Daku Resort. Travel is not included: we are happy to advise on itineraries, or have a look at the page on how to get there for more information.

The cost of the week is $1550 twin share.
Single room supplement: $350
Non-participating partner: $850

• 2 hour yoga/meditation classes in the morning
